Slovenia
The first half of the game against Denmark as awful for Slovenia, with 0.06 xG versus 0.89 and 3-7 in shots. After the half-time Slovenia started to create dangerous moments in the attacking actions. However, Šeško and Šporar failed to score. Janža finally saved the day for Slovenia (1:1). A maximum of 2 goals have been scored in the last 4 games Slovenia have played.
Serbia
Depsite an early goal scored by Bellingham, Serbia struggled in the game versus England (0:1). Serbia were attacking quite a lot for this game, but ended up with just 0.20 xG and 1 shot on target. The ball couldn’t reach neither Vlahović nor Mitrović. Kostić, the key attacking midfielder, is injured. Mladenović is likely to replace him and it’s a disadvantage for Serbia.
Slovenia – Serbia prediction
The first games of both sides proved they had some problem in the attacking lines. Bookmakers believe that Serbia are the favourites here, but it’s quite a risky option.
Neither team wants to approach the 3rd round without any points taken. They will be very careful in this game.
