Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the ATP Cincinnati match.
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Benjamin Bonzi meet for the fourth time, with the Greek yet to lose to the Frenchman. For Tsitsipas, this is a chance to extend his winning streak in the head-to-head, while Bonzi will look to make a statement after his victory over Lorenzo Musetti.
Stefanos Tsitsipas
Tsitsipas made a confident start in Cincinnati, beating Fabian Marozsan with a high first-serve percentage (70%) and no double faults, limiting himself to just 17 unforced errors. Even when not at his best, he has been beating lower-ranked opponents — since February on outdoor hard courts, he has won 9 of 13 matches, five of them in straight sets. Against Bonzi, he has a perfect record, with two wins on grass and one on clay via opponent retirement.
Benjamin Bonzi
Bonzi has struggled against higher-ranked players this season, losing 60% (9 of 15) of such matches. His win over Lorenzo Musetti owed much to the Italian’s errors (five double faults) rather than flawless play. He continues to give opponents opportunities on return, facing 14 break points in his last match — a weakness that could prove decisive against Tsitsipas. His first serve has also been inconsistent, averaging just 57% in Cincinnati. Hard courts are not his strongest surface either, with 11 wins and 9 defeats in 2025.
Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Benjamin Bonzi Prediction
Given Tsitsipas’ assured start, dominant head-to-head record, and Bonzi’s instability, the Greek should cover the -2.5 games handicap.
