Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Championship match.
Last season, both teams were known for frequently playing in low-scoring games. In the new Championship campaign, Swansea City and Millwall have largely stuck to that trend. On Matchday 6, both fixtures finished 1:0.
Swansea City
For the hosts, that scoreline proved disappointing. Against Birmingham City, everything was heading towards a goalless draw, but in the 94th minute a cross into the penalty area resulted in a goal. Overall, the team’s goalkeeper performed well and earned the highest match rating. A further four of the team’s previous five fixtures also saw under 2.5 goals land.
Millwall
Millwall put together a lengthy run of low-scoring games in 2024/25, which lifted the squad into the play-off places. They are now tenth in the standings with 10 points, two points ahead of their opponents. They moved ahead thanks to a home win over Watford. Millwall opened the scoring as early as the tenth minute with a direct free-kick. The visitors then tried to beat Steven-Andreas Benda mostly with efforts from range. Late on, he saved the most difficult near-post effort.
Swansea City vs Millwall Prediction
Over the last four league games, Millwall matches have all gone under 2.5 goals, so we consider this the most reliable angle for this pairing.
