Swansea City finally ended their six-match winless streak, halting their alarming slump. They currently sit in 17th place, while Sheffield Wednesday remain in the top half and are still in contention for a playoff spot.

Swansea City endured a dreadful run, losing five of their last six matches and conceding at least two goals in each defeat. Their once-praised defence from the early stages of the season has collapsed, and their attack remains uninspiring, with just 33 goals in 31 games. Swansea City have underperformed their xG by 12.26 goals – the second-worst record in the league.
Sheffield Wednesday
Compared to Swansea City, Sheffield Wednesday have been far more clinical, missing their xG tally by just 2.75 goals. Since the start of the year, they have netted 12 goals in seven matches and failed to score only twice – most notably against Leeds United (0:3). Sheffield Wednesday are also one of the strongest away sides in the league, ranking fifth in points collected on the road. In contrast, Swansea are just 21st in the home standings, making them vulnerable to yet another setback.
