Switzerland
The Swiss side was pretty impressive in the group stage. They haven’t lost a game and advanced to the knockout stage from second position. They didn’t lose the game versus Germany (1:1). However, they never managed to beat Scotland (1:1). But basically, I don’t think it really matters. Switzerland have a good attacking line that can be a problem for anyone.
Italy
Italy have been faded. Not only in this tournament. Their conditions have seemed weird for a long time. They have been performing pretty poorly since the moment they took the trophy of the last Euro. They’re still strong, though. But I doubt they can reach some very late stages of this tournament.
Switzerland – Italy prediction
I think that 90 minutes can end in a draw. But not goalless. Switzerland have great forwards and they will score for sure. The defensive line of Italy isn’t a fortress. But the Swiss side can’t boast a good defensive line. So I believe that both teams will be able to score at least a goal.
