Talleres Córdoba head into the new Clausura campaign still struggling to find consistency, despite a promising conclusion to the Apertura. They open their campaign against San Lorenzo — a side they have failed to defeat since 2022.

It was a disappointing showing from Talleres Córdoba in the Copa Libertadores, where they finished bottom of their group and were eliminated at the first hurdle. Their form in the Apertura was similarly poor, ending up 14th in the standings and missing out on a play-off spot. With no new additions during the break, the squad will rely on returning loanees to bolster their ranks in the Clausura.
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo impressed in the Apertura, securing fourth place in their group and progressing to the play-offs, where they made it to the semi-finals before being eliminated by eventual champions Club Atlético Platense. Over their last 12 fixtures in all competitions, the team have lost just twice and have also advanced to the round of 16 in the Copa Argentina.
