Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the friendly match.
Tottenham
In late July, Tottenham had four wins in a row with a total score of 14:6. The team showed their aggressive style even in friendlies, with high-energy pressing. In the Asian tour, Tottenham beat Kobe (3:2) and the Korean League stars team (4:3). In both matches Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-min scored 3+2 together.
Bayern Munich
Bayern's rebuild under Vincent Kompany started with buying Michael Olise from Crystal Palace for over 50 million and a big win against Rottach-Egern (14:1). Last week, Bayern had problems, they drew 1:1 with Duren and new player Hiroki Ito got a serious injury. This stopped Matthijs De Ligt’s transfer to Manchester United. Harry Kane won’t probably play against his old team (he’s resting after Euro 2024), so promising forward Mathys Tel might take part.
Prediction
Tottenham Hotspur’s good performance in pre-season doesn’t make them favourite in the upcoming face-to-face match with Bayern Munich. Unlike Bayern, who have been struggling in friendly matches, but they’re still in the transfer market.
In the 21st century, Tottenham and Bayern have played three times. All these games had at least three goals. These top European clubs will likely score many goals in Seoul.
