Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Tottenham Hotspur
Even before the final in Bilbao, Tottenham Hotspur had clearly shifted their attention away from domestic matters. More accurately, they appeared to be running on empty. A demanding schedule, with midweek fixtures both domestically and in Europe, has taken its toll. This has resulted in five defeats and a single draw in recent matches, underscoring a clear change in priorities.
Brighton & Hove Albion
With the final behind them, one might expect Tottenham Hotspur to concentrate fully on their match against Brighton. However, it’s likely that the team’s recent efforts will affect their performance. Having achieved their goal, it's difficult to muster the motivation for a league match that carries little meaning. In contrast, Brighton have enjoyed a full week of rest and are coming off an impressive 3:2 win against Liverpool. Beating Liverpool, regardless of the context, is always a morale booster. Brighton will be looking to secure eighth place, even if a European spot is no longer within reach.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Brighton & Hove Albion Prediction
Brighton are simply a more organised team at present. Furthermore, they are likely to capitalise on their opponent’s fatigue.
