Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Tottenham
Tottenham keep playing in their style even in the games versus top Premier League sides. Their previous match versus Manchester City ended in a bright 3:3. However, the Spurs have suffered time after time due to this style. They were defeated by Aston Villa (1:2), Wolverhampton (1:2) and Chelsea (1:4). These games revealed their key weak point, which is the defensive line (xGA = 1,64).
West Ham
West Ham can’t boast on good defensive actions this season (xGA = 1,74), but they perform constantly well in the offensive actions. They haven’t been able to score only in one out of their 14 Premier League games – versus Everton (0:1). The Hammers are approaching this match in good conditions. They have scored 4 out of their last 5 games in all tournaments, scoring 8 goals. Tomáš Souček (4+1) has performed in the best way, scoring 3 out of these 8 goals.
Tottenham – West Ham prediction
West Ham is one of the simplest and direct teams in the way they play. Fast counter-attacks is their key point under Moyes's managerial term. They’re the leaders of the Premier League in speed of taking the ball to the opponents box (1,99 metres per second). This is a huge problem for the Spurs that have been playing high this season, leaving too much space behind.
I expect to see fast football with attacks of both teams.
