Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Serie A match.
Venezia
Last Sunday, Venezia suffered a 3:0 defeat to Cagliari Calcio, conceding three times from 1.52 xGA and allowing five shots on target. Their situation is made even more difficult by the suspension of a key defender due to yellow card accumulation, as well as an injury to an attacking player who was substituted in the first half. Since the start of 2025, the team has accumulated 30.49 xGA — only AC Monza have performed worse defensively in Serie A over the same period, with 36.84 xGA.
Juventus
Juventus arrive at the final matchday following back-to-back 1:1 draws against Bologna and SS Lazio, results that left them on the verge of slipping out of the top five. However, setbacks for their rivals have kept qualification hopes alive. A narrow win against the underdog here would be enough to secure a Champions League place. In their recent 2:0 win over Udinese Calcio, Juventus dominated the attacking statistics (2.61–0.36 in xG). Away from home this season, they have conceded just 17.71 xGA — the second-best mark in Serie A.
Venezia vs Juventus Prediction
In the reverse fixture back in December, Venezia managed to escape Turin with a 2:2 draw, salvaged by a late penalty converted by Dusan Vlahovic. This time, Juventus are unlikely to repeat past mistakes, especially with so much at stake.
