MacKenzie Gore, the third overall pick in the 2017 draft, looks ready to have a breakout season. Over his first five starts, MacKenzie Gore has recorded an impressive strikeout-to-walk percentage (K/BB) of 31.1%, nearly double his career average of 16.2%. His expected ERA has improved from 4.2 to 3.05. Still only 26 years old—which is relatively young for a pitcher—MacKenzie Gore appears to be living up to his potential.
