Adam Williams presents his prediction for the NBA match.
The Phoenix Suns continue their road trip. Following a defeat in Atlanta (117:122), they travel to the capital to face the Washington Wizards, who have lost their last seven matches—a straightforward victory for the visitors seems likely.
Washington Wizards
Frankly speaking, the Wizards lack the personnel to challenge a team like the Suns. One of their key players, Malcolm Brogdon, is sidelined with an injury and will miss several more games. Without him, the Wizards' offence, which struggles to score 108 points per game, appears completely powerless. The team create shooting opportunities, but with only 44% shooting accuracy, their efforts amount to nothing. Moreover, the hosts boast the weakest defence in the league, or more accurately, it seems non-existent. Opponents average 122.6 points per game, attempting 93 field goals.
Phoenix Suns
There's been a lot of chatter surrounding the Suns this past week. Rumour has it that they are set to acquire Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat. That would be a fantastic addition, but for now, the Suns are content with their current roster. It's worth noting that their player roster is already impressive, notably the duo of Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. In their last game, they once again shone, combining for 66 points and 11 assists. The rest of the team played their part in dismantling the Hawks' defence. The Suns ended the game with 51.2% shooting from the field, making 30 of 49 shots in the area under the basket.
Washington Wizards vs Phoenix Suns Prediction
The tight competition in the Western Conference compels the Suns to win virtually every game—they are highly motivated. We seriously doubt the Wizards will pose any threat to their efforts.
