Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Premier League match.
Wolverhampton
This side depends on the mood. They play perfectly well against top teams but can't find motivation to do the same with weaker teams. For example, they ended their games versus Newcastle (2:2) and Aston Villa (1:1) and beat Tottenham (2:1) and Manchester City (2:1). However, the Wolves were defeated by Sheffield United (1:2) and Fulham (2:3) last month. And they were defeated in September in the League Cup by Ipswich Town (2:3).
Burnley
Burnley ended their 7 games losing streak by beating Sheffield United (5:0). This is the first home win for Burnley this season, besides is the biggest win for the side that started that round at the bottom of the table. I think such a bright win can give a new impulse to the team, adding some confidence.
Wolverhampton – Burnley prediction
I don’t think that Wolverhampton deserve to be favourites, considering their serious problems with their squad. Pedro Neto (1 goal + 7 assists) is injured. The side have got 1,2 points on average with him on the pitch, but only 0.75 points without him. Ait-Nouri and Juan Gomes can’t help the Wolves either. The latter is amongst the best in tackles and rebounds (27+8) and is a leader in blocked passes (15).
Burnley will use these problems to take at least a point.
