Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolverhampton have already managed to take some points in home games against top teams this season. They have suffered only 2 defeats out of the 8 games they’ve had at Molineux, not losing on their home ground since September. They’ve beaten Tottenham (2:1) and Manchester City (2:1 and drawn against Newcastle (2:2) and Aston Villa (1:1). One of the best playmakers of the Premier League, Pedro Neto, is back, so the Wolves will be able to score.
Chelsea
Chelsea have played perfectly well in the attacking line, creating 1.96 xG (3rd place). However, everything that their attacking players have done have been denied by the mistakes of the defence. Chelsea have conceded 26 goals. They can’t get above the middle of the table. They have lost 3 consecutive away games recently, with the aggregate score of 2:8. They’ve managed to keep the clean sheet in 25% of the matches they’ve played.
Wolverhampton Wanderers – Chelsea prediction
The average age of the Chelsea players is 24 years and 365 days – the lowest among all Premier League teams. Probably this is why their season seems to be a rollercoaster. The side hasn’t been able to be stable, winning heroically and then failing. The Wolves have played perfectly well against the top teams this season.
I expect to see a bright game with many attempts on goal.
