Anthony Joshua
-
the former WBA Super, WBO, IBF, and IBO heavyweight champion. He was awarded the MBE.
-
31 fights, 28 wins, 3 losses
Joshua lost his belts to Usyk two years ago and since then he has been focusing on regaining at least one title. If he survives Dubois’ knockout power, he’ll achieve his goal. Anthony remembers the loss against Ruiz and doesn't want to fall victim to another big upset.
AJ will use his powerful crosses and footwork to keep Dubois at a distance. He'll try to work in short bursts to the head and avoid prolonged exchanges. He'll constantly throw powerful jabs and move behind the opponent's left hand.
Joshua will land heavy single punches to the body. He'll give up the center of the ring but won't stay on the ropes. Instead, he'll rely on head movement and a tight guard.
Anthony will increase the pace in the second round. He'll throw punches from all angles, slip overhand shots, and break away from clinches to get more rounds.
Joshua's chances of winning
AJ will start slowly, increasing the pace in the final quarter of the fight to win more rounds by points or potentially knock out Dubois in the 9th or 10th round.
Joshua also has a good chance to win the first few rounds while Dubois gets his range and finds a comfortable distance.
Anthony will adjust to Daniel’s fighting style of attacking sharply after turning aside, so he will be able to defend against a sudden heavy punch.

Daniel Dubois
-
the current IBF interim heavyweight champion, the former WBA, WBC Silver, and WBO Global regular world champion.
-
23 fights, 21 wins, and 2 losses
In his last fight against Hrgović, Dubois was so eager for a knockout that he wasn't afraid to lose rounds, constantly pressing forward, even ignoring advice from his corner.
This approach worked for him then, but it won't against Joshua. The news of the fight with Joshua has motivated Dubois, so he'll likely be much more tactical this time.
He'll attack frequently with a double jab and a combination of a straight left followed by a left hook. Once he closes the distance, he'll go for body shots and punches behind Joshua's elbow. Dubois will use constant body movement to throw overhand punches from different angles.
After powerful attacks, he will back off for a while and then burst back into the middle range with a left hook followed by a quick cross. From a long distance, he'll throw powerful single straight punches.
If Joshua slows down, Dubois will try to knock him out after hooks.
Dubois' chances of winning
It will be difficult for Dubois to use jabs against the moving Joshua, so a decision victory seems less likely than a finish. Dubois will go for a knockout after the middle rounds, and in the first half of the fight he'll try to slow Joshua down as much as possible.
In the 7th round, his chances of winning will increase as Dubois will be still powerful enough to land combinations on a tiring AJ. However, Joshua is unlikely to lose his speed, as he controls distance well and won't allow constant body shots. Nonetheless, Dubois might have the aggressive power to find a knockout.

Joshua vs Dubois Prediction
Dubois could go for an early knockout, but he risks getting knocked out himself. He's better off gradually breaking down Joshua's defense.
Perhaps Joshua will try to attack Dubois, like Usyk did. In that case, it will be easier for Dubois to close the distance on the counterattack and land body shots. In this case, the chances of winning become closer.
Dubois is risky, which makes him very dangerous. But in this upcoming fight, defense will be more important, which gives AJ the benefit. Since both fighters will be stronger after the middle rounds, we recommend betting on over 6.5.
Our betts and prediction for the fight: Joshua to win and over 6.5 rounds.
