Masters Golf Betting Odds 2025
Scottie or Collin?
From April 10 to April 13, 2025, the 89th edition of the Masters Tournament will take place at the legendary Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA. This event is one of the four major championships in men's golf and is renowned for its unique traditions, including the presentation of the iconic Green Jacket to the winner and the Champions Dinner.
Who Will Win The Masters 2025?
In 2025, special attention will be on the return of defending champion Scottie Scheffler, as well as the participation of stars like Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm. Who do the bookmakers consider the favourite? What does the supercomputer predict? And most importantly – who should you bet on? Find out all this in our preview.
The Masters 2025 Favourites
Last year, Scottie Scheffler was the bookmakers' top favorite and won. However, this was the first time since 2005 that the favorite triumphed. This time, he is once again the top choice of betting sites. However, only three players in history—Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, and Tiger Woods—have managed to win back-to-back Masters titles.
The Masters 2025 Betting Odds
Two-time U.S. Open champion Curtis Strange suggested in an interview with ESPN that the winner will likely be one of the top two favorites: Scheffler or McIlroy. That’s how much they stand out compared to the rest of the field. We’re ready to challenge that, but let’s take it step by step.
Scottie Scheffler
The two-time Masters winner finished second in the Texas Children's Houston Open—his most recent appearance before the Masters. There are signs that his game is rounding into form.
Scheffler said that after shooting a 7-under 63 in the final round of the tournament.
Though he has yet to claim a PGA Tour victory this season following surgery for a hand injury, the defending Masters champion has still recorded three top-10 finishes. His steady performance keeps him firmly in the conversation.
Picking Scheffler isn't just about current form—it's a pick for history. A win at Augusta would mark his third Masters title in just four years, solidifying his place among the tournament’s greats.
Rory McIlroy
McIlroy’s quest for a Masters title remains unfulfilled, and the weight of past disappointments still lingers. Last year’s U.S. Open collapse and a decade-long drought since his last major victory only add to the pressure.
Despite the frustration, McIlroy remains one of the game's elite players. This season, he leads the PGA Tour in strokes gained and recently triumphed against a stacked field at The Players Championship, proving his form is still top-tier.
His history at Augusta is a mix of promise and near-misses—seven top-10 finishes, though none since his runner-up performance in 2022. If he finally breaks through, McIlroy would join an exclusive club, becoming just the sixth golfer to complete a career Grand Slam at the majors.
Collin Morikawa
Morikawa is off to a career-best start in 2025, particularly in ball striking and iron play—areas where The Masters traditionally rewards its champions. Currently, he ranks second in strokes gained tee-to-green, just behind McIlroy.
Though his recent form may have flown under the radar—he's still chasing his first win in over 18 months and fell short again at the Arnold Palmer Invitational—Morikawa has delivered three top-10 finishes in five starts this season. His resume includes past victories at the PGA Championship and British Open, showcasing his ability to perform on the biggest stages. With those credentials, perhaps he’s poised to finally prove his worth at Augusta.
Jon Rahm
After his first year with LIV Golf, Rahm was largely absent from the majors, finishing T-45 at the 2023 Masters following his Augusta victory. However, this season, he’s playing the best of any major champion not on the PGA Tour.
While Joaquin Niemann has made waves at LIV with two tournament wins, Rahm stands out as the only LIV golfer to finish in the top six in every event of 2025. His iron play, when at its best, is as precise as any in the game, a skill that served him well just two years ago during a strong Masters run.
Rahm is surely eager to prove that despite being outside the PGA Tour orbit, he remains firmly in the conversation as one of golf’s elite players.
Ludvig Aberg
A Swedish golfer continues to solidify his status as a rising star in the world of golf with each tournament.
-
Victory at the Genesis Invitational: In February 2025, Åberg claimed his second PGA Tour win, taking the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines. He finished with a total score of 276 (-12), edging out Maverick McNealy.
-
World Golf Ranking: After his victory at the Genesis Invitational, Åberg moved up to 5th place in the Official World Golf Ranking.
-
Results at other tournaments: Early in 2025, Åberg showed consistent results, including a 5th place finish at The Sentry in January and 42nd at the Farmers Insurance Open. However, his performance at THE PLAYERS Championship in March was disappointing—he missed the cut with scores of 71 and 75 (+2).
The Master 2025 Prediction
The Masters is now the key event where top golfers from both PGA Tour and LIV Golf compete, making it an even bigger proving ground amid the ongoing split. The pressure of Augusta’s back nine is unmatched
Oddspedia’s supercomputer simulated the 2025 Masters 1,000 times using factors like betting odds, strokes gained, and driving accuracy. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has the best chance to win, with a 33.96 percent probability, while World No. 2 Rory McIlroy follows with a 23.63 percent chance.
However as seen at The Players, McIlroy is still affected by losing the 2011 Masters. He also mentioned an elbow issue after the Houston Open. Scheffler, in turn, has gone 6 starts without a win, which, by his standards, is a real drought.
Morikawa, a two-time major winner, is in excellent form, ranking fourth in the FedEx Cup standings. He finished third at the 2024 Masters and fourth at the PGA Championship. At Augusta, he's had three consecutive top-10 finishes. Last year, he was just one shot back entering the final round but finished tied for third.
Currently, Morikawa leads the PGA Tour in strokes gained: tee-to-green and approach the green, and ranks second in SG: total.
