La Liga 2024/25 Winner Odds

No surprise that betting sites believe that a team from the common top 3 of Spanish football will win the title this season. The key favourites are Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid.

These three sides have dominated Spanish football over the last 20 years. Last season saw Girona finishing third ahead of Atlético Madrid. The Catalan side proved that it was possible to fight for the title with the key favourites. Perhaps, a side of this kind will appear again this season.

Real Madrid: The Champion in the Spotlight

The current champion is set to defend the title in their domestic league. They want to keep on being brilliant in Europe. After taking their 15th UEFA Champions League trophy, Real Madrid have huge ambitions in the 2024/25 season. Florentino Pérez have signed one of the best players of this decade, Kylian Mbappé, to win the triple. The French player has joined Vinícius Jr. and Jude Bellingham, who are the favourites to get the Golden Ball this year. This is the best attacking trio in Europe.

The main problem for Carlo Ancelotti now is how to make the best starting XI from all the pieces he has at hand. Another challenge is finding a good substitution for Toni Kroos. Anyway, Real Madrid are favourites to win the title in Spain and they’re ready to reign in Europe again.

Barcelona: A New Beginning

The Catalan side won their 27th domestic title in the 2022/23 season. The previous edition of the SPanish La Liga was a transitional period for Barcelona. Xavi Hernández faced troubled times. Financial problems and the fact that many of his players were too young complicated his mission. The legend of the Catalan club left Barcelona after finishing second far behind Real Madrid and facing another upset in the Champions League.

Hansi Flick is a new head coach of Barcelona for the 2024/25 campaign. He should improve the tactical order of the young side to make them more competitive. Lamine Yamal and Gavi are very talented, along with many other young players, including Dani Olmo, who has joined Barcelona after a brilliant European Championship.

Atlético Madrid: Tradition and Innovation

Diego Simeone will lead Atlético Madrid to something big. At least he’ll try. The side will do their best to improve the feelings after the last season. The finished fourth, but currently betting sites believe that they can be higher.

Atlético Madrid are improving. They have signed new players this summer to make their attacking line better. Alexander Sørloth, the second best top scorer of the last season when he played for Villarreal, has joined the team along with Julián Álvarez, arriving from Manchester City.

The side will focus on better ball possession and dominating the games. However, they’re likely to keep playing well defensively and tactically.

Girona and Athletic Bilbao: Dark Horses

The other sides that try to reach the European competitions qualifying zone follow the key leaders. Why not? They can challenge the higher positions. Girona already did it last season. Against all odds they finished third and they even topped the league for many consecutive rounds.

They will try to get to a European competition, too. But it’s going to be hard as Artem Dovbyk (24 goals) left the club, moving to Roma, and Yan Couto is currently injured.

Real Sociedad, Betis And Athletic Bilbao will try to finish fourth this season. Athletic won the Spanish Cup after 40 long years. They have Nico Williams. So, they’re probably the main contenders to succeed.

Who Will Be Relegated

Struggling to avoid relegation will be a key priority for some teams this season. Leganés, Real Valladolid and Espanyol were promoted for the second tier. Leganés and Real Valladolid were promoted directly, while Espanyol had to win the promotion play-offs.

CD Leganés

The side is back to the top division after they were relegated in the 2019-2020 season. They’re main objective for this season is to keep their La Liga spot. However, statistics don’t promise them success. The point is that 3 out of the last 6 Segunda champions has been relegated the following season

UD Las Palmas

This side have been playing many seasons between hardly avoiding relegation and the second division. This one doesn’t seem to be an exception. They managed to remain in the top division last season with 40 points and 16th position.

Getafe CF

The times when Getafe played in a European Competition are left far back in 2018. The  last 5 seasons have seen Getafe being in the bottom half of the table. They lost their last 5 consecutive La Liga games at the end of the last season. They were lucky enough to finish 12th, though.

Real Valladolid

The side has just been promoted after a season of absence in the top division. A controversial season. They started playing in the second division with several defeats that promised only something worse to come. However, they won 10 consecutive games in the second half of the season to manage to win the direct promotion.

Mbappé is a New Top Scorer in Spain

This season Kylian Mbappé is the main candidate to become the top scorer. Betting sites don’t doubt it. He scored 44 goals last season, playing for PSG.
