Many were hoping for a Milan derby in the final of the Coppa Italia, but fate had other plans — the city rivals now clash at the semi-final stage. Inter Milan are considered the favourites, but AC Milan are certainly capable of pulling off an upset.
AC Milan
AC Milan have little left to play for in the league, making this cup run their primary focus. They’ve already lifted the Supercoppa and will be eyeing another trophy. Their weakness, however, is clearly the defence — five of their last six matches saw them concede at least twice, including against struggling Lecce and mid-table Torino. That said, their attacking firepower remains intact: Milan have scored in 18 of 20 games in 2025.
Inter Milan
Inter Milan are still the strongest team in Italy on current form, but even they have shown vulnerabilities. With Denzel Dumfries out injured, they have struggled to plug the gap on the right. That weakness was evident in their narrow 2:1 win over Udinese, where they allowed 11 shots, including four on target. In fact, Inter's lapses in focus have become a recurring theme — even relegation candidates Monza managed to score twice in the first half recently.
AC Milan vs Inter Milan Prediction
This will be the fourth Derby della Madonnina of the season, and all previous three featured goals at both ends. With Milan likely to throw everything at this competition and Inter known for occasional defensive sloppiness, another end-to-end affair looks likely.
