Saturday’s late kick-off in Serie A takes place in Florence, where Fiorentina host the reigning champions Napoli. On paper, the favourite is clear, yet Napoli are still some way off peak form.
ACF Fiorentina
At present, Fiorentina look well below last season’s level. Across two rounds they drew with strugglers Cagliari Calcio (1:1) and Torino (0:0). The indifferent form of Moise Kean is notable, as he failed to record a single goal involvement in either match. He was a major factor in their strength last year.
SSC Napoli
In their opening matches, Napoli suffered from the absence of a top striker, yet still took two wins from two. The hierarchy addressed the issue up front by signing Rasmus Højlund from Manchester United. He knows Serie A well, so he should quickly slot into the system under Antonio Conte. Given that he will play with Kevin De Bruyne, we can reasonably expect a breakout season from the Dane.
ACF Fiorentina vs SSC Napoli Prediction
Napoli are rightful favourites here. Fiorentina pose little threat at the moment and look likely to revert to the status of a mid-table side. Napoli will take all three points.
