Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Club friendly match.
Barcelona have returned home following their Asian tour and are now preparing for their final pre-season fixture, where they will take on Como. Como are managed by Cesc Fàbregas.
Barcelona
During their tour, the squad showed their attacking prowess, averaging five goals per match against Korean and Japanese opposition. Pablo Paez Gavira emerged as a standout performer in the final third, contributing four goal involvements (3+1) in his last two appearances. Notably, Hans-Dieter Flick has started to involve Marcus Rashford in his rotation, with the forward already opening his scoring account for the club.
Como
Como’s most recent fixture was a dramatic 3:2 encounter against Real Betis, featuring not only a flurry of goals but also on-pitch altercations. Ahead of this match, their ongoing defensive issues raise concerns. They conceded three against Lille (3:2), and Real Madrid also found the back of the net with ease. With that in mind, Barcelona are expected to find scoring opportunities. The bigger question is whether Como can maintain their recent trend of netting three times themselves. That seems unlikely.
Barcelona vs Como Prediction
We expect Como’s attacking style to work against them in this fixture. The significant disparity in quality between the two squads is likely to show throughout the 90 minutes, and Barcelona should be able to make the most of it. We do not foresee a closely fought contest.
