Despite their unbeaten run coming to an end in the domestic league, Bayer Leverkusen have still managed to start the season strongly. Ahead of their match against Wolfsburg, the team are hailed as the most dangerous attack in the championship—they will be expected to deliver goals once again.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen
A confident 4:1 victory over Hoffenheim showed that Bayer Leverkusen quickly recovered from their slip-up against RB Leipzig (2:3). In terms of xG, they lead the Bundesliga with a remarkable 10.08—more than two goals ahead of their nearest competitor. Despite some controversial celebrations, Victor Boniface has been in excellent form, scoring 2+1 in the last match. The coaching staff will surely give him plenty of playing time given his current form.
Wolfsburg
In the first round of the championship, Wolfsburg put up a fight against Bayern Munich and nearly snatched a draw but faltered in defence (2:3).
