Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Champions League match.
Bayern Munich secured a hard-fought draw against Bayer Leverkusen (0:0) in their last outing, a satisfactory result in the Bundesliga title race. Back at home against Celtic, they will play with attacking freedom, and their fans expect a dominant win. Given Celtic’s open playing style, that scenario seems highly likely.
Bayern Munich
Their victory in Glasgow (2:1) marked Bayern’s fifth consecutive win, with the team scoring 13 goals in that period. The German giants don’t need many chances to score – in the first leg, they produced just 0.70 xG but still found the net twice. At home, Bayern have been even more clinical, winning seven straight games since December, scoring at least three goals in every match.
Celtic
The Scottish champions have already struggled on German soil, suffering a 1:7 humiliation against Borussia Dortmund (14 shots on target conceded, 2.80 xGA). Although they put up a good fight at home against Bayern, they still ended up losing. Their defensive struggles are evident, conceding 12 goals in five away matches in 2025 alone.
Bayern Munich vs Celtic Prediction
With Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane enjoying freedom in attack, Bayern should exploit Celtic’s high defensive line and create plenty of scoring chances. Given their home form and Celtic’s defensive frailties, Bayern are expected to comfortably surpass the 2.5 goal mark.
