Celtic
Celtic played 5 friendly games in July, scoring 19 goals, with 8 of them in the games versus Manchester City (4:3) and Chelsea (4:1). Even Guardiola noted the brave Celtic tactics when they started their attacking actions from defence. Their wingers ran fast after a long pass from the center defence line. Celtic’s key forward Furuhashi scored 6 goals. He will be the key player right from the start of the season.
Kilmarnock
Unlike Celtic, Kilmarnock had little time to prepare for the season. They started to play at the end of June in the Europa League qualifying round. Kilmarnock were eliminated by Cercle Brugge (1:2 agg). The Scottish side had little chances to win in Belgium, with 6-15 in shots without any shot on goal made by Kilmarnock.
