Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the 2024 Europa League match
The unstable performance of Dinamo Minsk in the last two UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds didn’t allow them to stay in the fight for a spot in the main European club competition. However, they are the clear favourites against Lincoln. The Red Imps haven’t impressed on the international level, unlike their opponent.

Even after losing the first leg to the stronger Ludogorets (0:2), Dinamo didn’t give up and put up a tough game against the Bulgarian team. In Mezokovesd, Hungary, the team could equalise the aggregate score after a goal by Bahar, but Adeola and Igor missed good chances. It seems that Belarussian side found a way of confident play on the international stage. In the national championship, the Dinamo players took a rest, in Belarus everybody is waiting for their club to reach the final stage of the European cup.
Lincoln Red Imps
Interestingly, the Red Imps are less expensive than their opponent’s for the third time in a row in this European Cup season (2.1 million euros vs 6.9 million euros for Dinamo). In the second Champions League qualifying round Red Imps couldn’t stop Qarabağ. After winning in Gibraltar (2:0), the Azerbaijan champions easily defeated their opponent at home (5-0). After the motivated Dinamo team Lincoln will only have to go down to the UEFA Conference League qualification.

Dinamo is used to the neutral field in Hungary, where they are ready to win their place in the European cups. Away from home Lincoln will not be able to compete with the more skilled opponent and will lose by at least two goals.
