A five-match winning streak in the Champions League has propelled AC Milan into the top eight of the group standings. Their trip to Dinamo Zagreb is expected to yield another three points, especially since the Croatian side have virtually lost its chance at qualifying for the play-offs and may lack motivation.

After victories over Salzburg (2:0) and Slovan Bratislava (4:1), Dinamo managed just one point from their last three matches. In heavy defeats to Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal (both 0:3), Dinamo generated a mere 0.26 xG combined, while conceding 4.45 xGA. The absence of key players such as Bruno Petković and Luka Sučić continues to hinder them, and midfielder Martin Baturina will miss this match due to suspension. His absence will leave a noticeable gap in the lineup overseen by Fabio Cannavaro.
AC Milan
A change in the coaching staff has revitalised AC Milan, making January a highly productive month. Hard-fought victories over Girona (1:0) and Parma (3:2) last week showcased their resilience, with the team creating a total of 4.00 xG in those matches. Despite internal conflicts involving Davide Calabria, head coach Sérgio Conceição is expected to start the Italian defender, who was recently named in the Champions League Team of the Week. With Emerson Royal and Kyle Walker still unavailable, Davide Calabria's inclusion seems logical.
