Egypt
Egypt had an obvious advantage in the first half of the game against Mozambique (2:2). After they scored the first goal, they had two more perfect attempts, but failed to use them. The attacking line was good, with Mostafa Mohamed from Nantes scoring the first goal and Salah making an assist and scoring the second goal. Ghana are far from being well. Egypt can hope to win the title.
Ghana
Ghana played two FIFA World Cup qualifying games in November. They hardly managed to beat Madagascar, scoring the only goal of the game in the 96th minute. They lost their away match to the Comoros (0:1). Ghana lost their first Africa Cup of Nations game against Cape Verde (1:2). Their opponent had 2.92 xG, so they deserved to win.
Egypt – Ghana prediction
A sensational defeat was close to Egypt in the first game versus Mozambique. Salah didn’t let this happen in the 96th minute, scoring from the penalty spot. Ghana is a comfortable opponent for Egypt. They have won 3 out of the last 4 games against the Black Stars, ending another game in a draw.
Egypt seemed to be better than Ghana in the first round of the group stage. In this head-to-head clash, Egypt are supposed to win.
