Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the international friendly match.
Estonia made a poor start to 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying and are on a run of three defeats. Andorra are in an even more vulnerable position: five losses on the bounce and seven matches without scoring. Both sides will treat this friendly as a chance to ease the pressure and halt their negative runs.
Estonia
Estonia have recorded only one win from five qualifiers and have effectively lost their hopes of reaching the play-offs. There were summer defeats to Israel (1:3) and Norway (0:1), and in September a heavy loss to Italy (0:5). Home form is also concerning: just one home win in the past year. The main issue for Estonia is finishing: in the matches against Norway and Italy the team did not score. Even so, against opponents of Andorra’s calibre, the Estonians traditionally look more assured.
Andorra
Andorra lost all five qualifiers, including at Wembley against England (0:2), where the opener came via an own goal. They are toothless in attack: seven matches in a row without a goal, and the last success dates back to October 2024 (2:0 against San Marino). Away numbers are even worse: there have been no victories since September 2022, when the team beat Liechtenstein. With the current personnel the attacking potential is minimal, and the focus is on defence and free kicks and corners.
Estonia vs Andorra Prediction
This should be a scrappy match with minimal chances. Estonia are in better shape, albeit inconsistent, but they ought to win at home. Andorra create almost nothing in the final third, so one goal should be enough for the hosts. In head-to-head meetings, Estonia have always prevailed.
