Across these two clubs there has been only one win from six matches. That win belongs to Leeds United, who have shown they can keep things tight. That used to apply to Fulham as well.
Fulham
Fulham have seen Total Under 2.5 Goals in each of their first three league games, but they were unfortunate not to take a win. In the most recent outing they faced FIFA Club World Cup champions Chelsea in a London derby. They could not avoid defeat at Stamford Bridge — (0:2). Their only victory came in the EFL Cup second round against Bristol City of the Championship (2:0). They fielded a relatively first-choice line-up in that tie.
Leeds United
Leeds United are newly promoted from the Championship. They aim to establish themselves in the English Premier League, but it will be difficult. However, their sole win (1:0) was fully merited. They beat Everton by most metrics: 21-7 in shots and 3-1 in shots on target. On clear chances (3-1) and 2.13-0.80 in xG, Leeds United were worth at least one more goal. In their other three fixtures, including the cup tie, they went Total Over 2.5 only once. Arsenal showed what real class looks like with a 5:0 at Emirates Stadium.
Fulham vs Leeds United Prediction
We are confident Leeds United will have more than enough to resist Fulham, but with only one goal scored so far, we do not expect much from the newly promoted squad either. Our bet is the obvious Total Under 2.5 Goals.
