Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Manchester City
Manchester City have made a series of costly errors—not just the poor run of form at the end of last year that left them in this vulnerable spot. Most recently, the team lost the FA Cup final to Crystal Palace, despite being dominant throughout: 2.23 xG, 23 shots, six on target, and 78% possession. The key difference was an exceptional performance by Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who even saved a penalty from Omar Marmoush. Prior to that, there was a goalless draw against Southampton, which further exposed their issues.
Fulham
Fulham's goal is protected by Bernd Leno, who also wears the captain’s armband. The German keeper has failed to keep a clean sheet in eight consecutive league fixtures. During that period, Fulham recorded only three wins, largely due to a lack of consistency in attack. The squad suffered two 0:1 defeats. In the previous round, they were involved in a five-goal thriller against free-scoring Brentford (2:3). Seven of their last ten spring matches have featured Total Under 3.5 goals—reflecting their recent pattern.
Fulham vs Manchester City Prediction
With Fulham lacking any tangible motivation, Manchester City are expected to secure a much-needed win to keep their Champions League hopes alive. The match is also likely to remain under four goals, consistent with the visitors’ recent trend (seven out of ten matches).
