Club football returns shortly after the international break. On the opening weekend back we will witness another Derby d'Italia between Juventus and Inter Milan. We hardly need to spell out how much this game means to both teams.
Juventus
Juventus have started the season strongly. In the opening rounds they beat Parma Calcio 1913 (2:0) and Genoa CFC (1:0). The first point to note is the return to fitness of Gleison Bremer, with opponents generating an average of just 0.59 xG in his games. In addition, we should not overlook the late high-profile arrivals: Loïs Openda and Edon Zhegrova will undoubtedly strengthen the attack.
Inter Milan
After a bright start to the season, Inter Milan suffered a surprise home defeat to Udinese Calcio (1:2). The main concern is a lack of depth. The squad has two top-class forwards in Lautaro Martínez and Marcus Thuram, yet if the game does not come to them there is no like-for-like replacement. It is also worth remembering the number of veterans in the group, who can find it hard to sustain a high tempo for the full 90 minutes.
Juventus vs Inter Milan Prediction
Surprisingly, Juventus are favourites for this match. Right now the squad is on the up, the players are giving everything, and the home crowd will drive Juventus on. At home they should take the win, but it is safer to back them Draw No Bet.
