Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the UEFA Champions League match.
Maccabi Tel Aviv
Maccabi played it safe away from home, but they scored first in the second half. It was Nir Bitton, who had just come on as a substitute. This shows the manager knows his players well, especially when he brought on Bitton instead of the captain Eran Zahavi. For the rest of the game, Maccabi played simple football, with five defenders, led by goalkeeper Roi Mishpati, keeping the opponent from getting many chances.
FCSB
FCSB deserved to win the home game (16-7 on shots, 4-1 on corner kicks). Maccabi's goal was a bit of a shock, but Bucharest quickly responded with a free kick from Joyskim Dawa. FCSB might have missed their best chance to go through to the next round, especially since they lost to Oțelul (0-2).
Maccabi Tel Aviv - FCSB Prediction
The first match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and FCSB ended in a 1-1 draw. It was a challenge for both teams. We're still not sure who's the favourite to win the tie, but the bookmakers are giving Maccabi a slight edge.
The neutral field in Budapest helps FCSB, but they probably won't play very offensively. Maccabi isn't going to attack either. Both teams will likely play it safe, keeping the score low in regular time.
