Mark Allen
Mark Allen and Mark Selby will have a very tense match. A few years ago, we would have said that Selby had an advantage over Allen in many ways, but now Mark Allen has seriously changed his playing style and taken an example from Mark Selby. Now Allen plays a very balanced game and tries to wait for the best chance to attack. Many players cannot withstand such a playing rhythm, some call Allen's style torture, as Selby was called before. But the results speak for themselves; now Mark Allen wins much more than in previous years of his career. Last season, Allen won the Champion of Champions and Players Championship; this year he won the Snooker Championship in Saudi Arabia. And this season there were several semi-finals, so Allen maintains the level of play that he himself set a few years ago. In the first match, Mark defeated Si Jiahui (6-2), playing in his now signature style.
Mark Selby
Mark Selby defeated Ali Carter in the first match, but in that game Carter found himself in trouble and, as a result, made a lot of mistakes, while Selby very competently took advantage of these chances and did not allow Carter to return to the match. We liked Selby’s performance; Mark played almost flawlessly.
Mark Allen vs Mark Selby Prediction
We think it will be a very tough match for both players today. There will be a lot of fighting and tough frames with endings on coloured balls. Both players feel great in such a game and know how to wait for the right chance. We are sure Mark Selby will win, but it will be a tough game, so we will offer a bet on the total frames. Last year at the Masters, Allen beat Selby (6-5). We don't know who will win today, but we will see at least 10 frames.
