Heidenheim’s disastrous performance in the Conference League play-off against Copenhagen (3:4 on aggregate) has left the Bundesliga strugglers drained ahead of their trip to Leipzig. With the race for the top four intensifying, Leipzig will be fully focused and determined not to drop points.

RB Leipzig have tightened up defensively, keeping three consecutive clean sheets in February against Union Berlin, Augsburg (both 0:0), and St. Pauli (2:0). While they controlled their away game against Augsburg (1.27 xG, 14 shots), their finishing let them down. However, at home, Leipzig have been far more effective, suffering just one defeat in 10 matches while netting 19 goals—only five Bundesliga teams have a better home attacking record, despite having played more games.
Heidenheim
Since 18 January, Heidenheim have lost five straight matches and now sit level on points with Bochum, narrowly avoiding the relegation zone due to goal difference. Their latest defeat to Mainz (0:2) saw them concede 2.15 xGA while managing just three shots on target (0.76 xG). Without Niklas Dorsch, the midfield has completely lost its balance, making it difficult to contain opponents.
