Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Serie A match.
Venezia are in a dire position in the league standings, and their prospects are unlikely to improve following their fixture against AC Milan. Earlier this week, AC Milan secured a commanding win over Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-finals (4:1 on aggregate). In Serie A, AC Milan still need to make up ground on their competitors.
Venezia
Even during a three-match unbeaten run, Venezia continued to display defensive vulnerabilities. Since the beginning of 2025, they have posted 23.54 xGA — only three other sides in the division have worse defensive statistics. In a head-to-head clash with fellow strugglers Empoli (2:2), Venezia were unable to protect a late lead, with their opponents scoring twice from just 1.17 xG and four shots on target.
AC Milan
Since early January, AC Milan have delivered the highest attacking xG in Serie A (30.05). On Wednesday, the depth of the squad proved crucial: Luka Jović scored twice, and all three of the team's shots on target against Inter Milan found the back of the net. Since the beginning of March, AC Milan have netted 11 goals across four away fixtures — winning three and losing one, a narrow 1:2 defeat to Napoli, who currently sit in the top two.
Venezia vs AC Milan Prediction
Since the 2021/22 season, Venezia have lost three consecutive matches against AC Milan. In the reverse fixture at San Siro, the hosts cruised to a 4:0 victory. With a clear gap in quality between the two sides, another win for the visitors looks highly probable.
