World Cup 2022 Betting Markets

The World Cup is a football tournament that offers several betting markets not available week in and week out. You can place sports bets on all the usual football match markets but also on the tournament itself.

To win the tournament outright

To reach the quarter finals

Similar to the above, the best betting sites will provide betting options that include which include how far each team will progress in the tournament, and reaching the quarter finals is one of these. These bets are useful because it allows you to have a betting interest in some of the more fringe teams that are not realistically going to win, but could make it this far with a bit of luck.

To win the group

Another bet is on which teams will win each of the groups. This can be a good bet to give interest in the first few games and create in effect a mini tournament.

To qualify

Each group contains four teams and the top two from each group can progress to the knockout stages. It is possible to place a bet on which team or even which two teams will make it out of each group.

To finish bottom of the group

Unfortunately, someone has to finish last. One of the bet types which you can use to profit from this is betting on who will finish last in each group. If two teams finish level on points, then it is settled by goal difference, and if still level it is usually a dead heat.
