WTA Tournament Calendar for the 2026 Season

Detailed Schedule of the Women’s Tennis Tour.

In 2026, the WTA will stage 56 women’s tournaments, including four Grand Slam events and the season-ending WTA Finals in November. As usual, the campaign is split into several phases: it begins with hard-court tournaments, moves on to clay, then passes through a seven-tournament grass swing before concluding with a hard-court finish.

This guide brings together the full WTA calendar for 2026, including confirmed dates and host locations.

January-March

The season traditionally gets under way with January hard-court tournaments in Australia, where the players compete for the first Grand Slam trophy of the year. Bookmakers consider Aryna Sabalenka the favourite for the Australian Open, which comes as no surprise: the Belarusian has reached the final at three consecutive editions, winning two of them.

Who will win the Australian Open?

After Melbourne, the tour heads out on a global hard-court swing. In February, tournaments will be played in the United Arab Emirates, Europe, Qatar, Mexico and the United States.

Spring marks the start of the clay-court season. It begins in the Americas, including South America, before the players move on to Europe. One notable change is the tournament in Linz, which has not only been shifted from February to April but has also changed surface, with matches now set to be played on clay in Austria.

Who will win Roland Garros?

Bookmakers rate Świątek as the leading favourite for Roland Garros, with the Polish star having won four of the last six tournaments in France.

The fastest surface on the tour traditionally occupies the shortest window. The grass-court season lasts just five weeks, during which three WTA 500 and three WTA 250 tournaments will be played.

Who will win Wimbledon?

The grass swing culminates at Wimbledon, where Świątek will be defending her title. Bookmakers give equal chances to the Polish player and to Sabalenka, who has never won a Grand Slam in London.

July-September

In mid-summer, a clay-court tournament in Romania returns to the women’s calendar, while the hard-court event in Budapest will not be held in 2026. After the clay stop in Hamburg, the players turn their attention to the North American hard-court swing.

Who will win the US Open?

Sabalenka is viewed as the clear favourite for the US Open. The Belarusian has won the last two editions, and in 2025 she dropped just one set throughout the entire tournament.
