Design and Theme
🖼️ Graphics
Visually, Big Bass Halloween 3 looks like an aquarium placed in an improvised morgue: a glass tank dominates the centre of the screen, with bloody handprints visible on the walls behind it and fishing gear scattered across the floor as if someone left in a hurry. The reels display stitched letters, bloodstained hooks and backpacks, a van with dark streaks, and green-red mutated fish, each tagged with a value.
When free spins begin, the camera pulls back from the reels into a corridor setting. On each side stand two fishermen — a living one and his zombie version — watching the familiar aquarium spin between them, now enhanced with collection meters. The whole scene feels less like traditional fishing and more like a small horror attraction, where every valuable fish suggests that one of the characters wouldn’t mind reaching for an axe.
🎶 Sound
The audio follows the same direction: a dark, tense melody runs in the background, mixed with dull thuds, scraping sounds, and creaks, as if the aquarium glass might crack at any moment. Regular spins are accompanied by muted clicks and splashes, while wins are marked by short, slightly ironic jingles — less of a celebration and more of a nervous laugh.
Overall, the sound design does not pull attention away from the reels but effectively maintains the horror atmosphere and reinforces the sense that this fishing trip may end with more than just a catch.

Special symbols
To better understand how to play Big Bass Halloween 3, it’s useful to look at the special symbols that trigger key effects and collect money from the fish.
- Wild (blue fisherman): substitutes for all regular symbols except Scatter and money fish. In free spins, it collects all money values from fish on the screen and fills the blue progress meter.
- Wild 2 (red zombie fisherman): acts as an alternative collector wild. It also substitutes for regular symbols and, when landing in free spins, collects fish values. It is tracked separately in a red meter with its own multiplier levels.
- Money symbol (fish with a value tag): a regular paying symbol on paylines that also carries a random value from x2 to x5,000 of the stake. These amounts can only be collected by the fisherman wilds during free spins.
- Scatter (large fish with inscription): does not pay on its own and is used solely to trigger the bonus. It appears on all reels, and three or more activate free spins.
Bonus game
Big Bass Halloween 3 features one main bonus mode — free spins with two fishermen, separate meters, and growing multipliers:
- 3, 4, or 5 scatters trigger 15, 20, or 25 free spins, respectively.
- During the bonus, blue and red fisherman wilds appear on the reels. Each collects all money values from fish on the screen and adds itself to its respective meter.
- Every four collected fishermen of the same colour award 10 extra free spins and increase the multiplier for collectors of that colour: first to x2, then to x3, and finally to x10 at the fourth level.
- After reaching the fourth level for a colour, retriggers for that fisherman no longer occur.
- Additional random effects may activate: a hook can pull wilds onto the screen if fish appear without a fisherman, or dynamite can scatter money symbols across the reels when a fisherman appears without fish. A shark animation may also replace other symbols with new ones.
There is also a scatter respin feature in the base game: if exactly two scatters land, the slot may sometimes give a chance to obtain a third. The scatters can shift down by one position while the remaining reels respin, or a hook may pull an extra scatter from beneath the reels. It’s a brief moment of tension where one additional symbol determines whether the bonus starts.
RTP, volatility, Max win
RTP — 96.5%. Volatility is high. The maximum win is capped at x5,000 of the bet.
Our Verdict
Big Bass Halloween 3 feels like a hybrid of familiar fishing mechanics and a light slasher aesthetic: visually darker than other entries in the series, but gameplay-wise still centred around chasing one strong free spins sequence. The two fishermen with separate meters make the bonus visually engaging, but they also stretch out the build-up — multiplier levels grow gradually, and reaching x10 requires time.
In the base game, the slot often delivers empty spins and occasionally teases with two scatters and rare respin chances. Without patience and disciplined bankroll management, it can feel demanding.
The slot will suit players already familiar with the Big Bass series who want a darker visual style with the same “all or nothing” free spins model. If you prefer a simpler fishing theme without horror elements, Big Bass Splash is a more straightforward option. And for those who prefer most of the action concentrated in the bonus round without a long base phase, Money Cart 4 may be a better fit with its feature-heavy, bonus-focused gameplay.
