Europa League Outright Winner Odds for 2026/27
Aston Villa are the reigning Europa League champions, claiming the trophy for the first time in the club's history with a 3–0 victory over Freiburg in the final at Beşiktaş Park in Istanbul on 20 May 2026. Goals from Youri Tielemans, Emiliano Buendía and Morgan Rogers sealed an emphatic win — and with it, Unai Emery became the first manager to lift the Europa League with three different clubs (Sevilla three times, Villarreal, and now Aston Villa).
For the 2026/27 season, UK bookmakers have begun publishing early Europa League betting odds for the outright winner market. The league phase draw takes place on 28 August 2026, so prices will shift significantly once clubs know their opponents. Among the Premier League sides in the competition, Bournemouth make their European debut under new manager Marco Rose. At the same time, Sunderland enter for the first time in their history after a remarkable seventh-place Premier League finish. Crystal Palace are also in the mix as Conference League winners, a run that earned them an EL berth.
The final will be held on 26 May 2027 at Stadion Frankfurt (Deutsche Bank Park) in Frankfurt, Germany.

Europa League Favourites to Win the Trophy
Aston Villa lifted the 2025/26 Europa League trophy — their first continental title since the 1981/82 European Cup — after a 3-0 win over SC Freiburg in Istanbul on 20 May 2026. Manager Unai Emery became the first coach to win the competition with three different clubs (Sevilla, Villarreal and Aston Villa), extending his personal record to five titles. Villa cannot defend the trophy, however. As champions, they enter the 2026/27 Champions League group stage, and the reformed competition rules do not permit clubs to transfer between the two tournaments once the group stage begins.
For the 2026/27 season, no UK-licensed bookmaker has yet released a market for the outright Europa League winner. The league phase draw takes place on 28 August 2026, with the tournament proper beginning on 16-17 September 2026. Outright markets typically open in the days following the draw, once the eight fixtures for each entrant are known. This page will be updated with prices as they become available.
The clubs at the top of the market for Europa League betting odds winner tend to share a recognisable profile: top-five domestic league football combined with experience of managing fixture congestion across multiple competitions. A side that rotates effectively, carries depth in attacking positions, and has a manager with European pedigree tends to shorten through the rounds while rivals fade.
The 2026/27 field carries a strong English contingent. Bournemouth embark on their first European campaign in the club's history after finishing sixth in the Premier League. Sunderland make their first appearance in a UEFA main-draw competition since the 1973/74 Cup Winners' Cup.
Crystal Palace enter as reigning Conference League winners. Alongside them, Nottingham Forest return after a semi-final run in the previous edition, while continental heavyweights Roma, FC Porto, Real Betis, Bologna and Fenerbahçe are among the 36 clubs expected to compete in the league phase.
Europa League Knockout Stage Odds for 2026/27
The knockout rounds completely change the character of Europa League betting odds. In the league phase, the market spans 36 clubs and dozens of simultaneous matches. From the Round of 16 onwards, it narrows to clearly defined two-legged ties, and the odds for each leg carry explicit context: first leg or second, home or away, aggregate deficit or advantage.
The 2026/27 knockout calendar runs as follows:
- Knockout phase play-off (9th-24th) — 18 and 25 February 2027
- Round of 16 — 11 and 18 March 2027
- Quarter-finals — 8 and 15 April 2027
- Semi-finals — 29 April and 6 May 2027
- Final — 26 May 2027, Stadion Frankfurt (Deutsche Bank Park)
The single-match final builds toward the Europa League final betting odds market that grows as the bracket resolves. The winner earns automatic qualification to the 2027/28 Champions League group stage.
Match-by-match and knockout-stage odds are published on this page as fixtures are drawn. Individual ties will unlock their own markets — qualification to advance, first-leg result, first goalscorer, both teams to score, and cards and corners specials — once each round's draw is confirmed.
Europa League Top Scorer Odds for 2026/27
Beyond match-by-match and outright winner markets, bookmakers also offer lines on the tournament's top goalscorer. This market rewards correct identification of a player whose team advances deep into the competition — a scorer eliminated in the Round of 16 cannot catch up, regardless of their early goal tally.
No major UK-licensed bookmaker (Bet365, William Hill, Paddy Power, Ladbrokes, Sky Bet, Betfred) has released a dedicated Europa League top scorer market for the 2026/27 season at the time of writing. Markets of this type typically open once the league phase draw is complete and the first two or three matchdays have been played, at which point bookmakers have a working sample of goal returns to price against.
The top scorer race is effectively indexed to the outright winner race: the player most likely to win the Golden Boot plays for the team most likely to win the trophy. Historical tallies across the last ten seasons range from six to eleven goals, and any tally at the top of that band typically requires a run to the final.
Previous Europa League Top Scorers
Historical top scorer data puts each new season's race in context: it shows how many goals are typically needed to win the golden boot, how often the award is shared, and which clubs tend to produce the highest-scoring players in this competition.
The 2025/26 season ended in a two-way tie at seven goals: Igor Jesus (Nottingham Forest) and Petar Stanić (Ludogorets). In the last ten seasons, the winning tally has ranged from six to eleven goals. Tallies at the top of that range — Olivier Giroud's 11 in 2018/19 and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's 10 in 2023/24 — required the player's team to reach the final.

About Europa League Betting
The 2026/27 UEFA Europa League uses the reformed format introduced in 2024/25. A total of 76 clubs entered across all qualifying stages, with 36 progressing to the single-table league phase. Entrants are drawn from UEFA member associations based on coefficient rankings, with additional spots for the Conference League title holders and teams dropping from Champions League qualifying.
In the league phase, all 36 teams are placed in a single table. Each club plays eight matches against eight different opponents (four home, four away). Positions in that table then determine one of three outcomes:
- 1st-8th: advance directly to the Round of 16 (seeded, home advantage in the second leg)
- 9th-24th: enter a two-legged knockout play-off round; 9th-16th are seeded
- 25th-36th: eliminated from all European competition — there is no drop to the Conference League from this stage
Teams that lose in the qualifying rounds before the league phase transfer to the corresponding Conference League stage. Once a club is in the Europa League phase, however, there is no drop-down to the Conference League — that safety net is gone.
From the Round of 16 onwards, every tie is played over two legs, with no away-goals rule. If the aggregate is level after 180 minutes, the tie goes to 30 minutes of extra time, then penalties if needed.
The 2026/27 final is a single match at Stadion Frankfurt on 26 May 2027. The winner earns automatic qualification to the 2027/28 Champions League group stage.
For bettors, the Europa League offers several structural advantages:
- Fixture density. Each club plays eight league-phase matches across roughly 16 weeks, creating a near-constant calendar of games to bet on from mid-September through late January.
- Market variety in the knockout rounds. Two-legged ties produce first-leg and second-leg markets, qualification odds, and first-scorer specials — all priced differently depending on the first-leg result.
- Club quality. The 2026/27 field is expected to include Roma, FC Porto, Real Betis, Bologna, Fenerbahçe and Nottingham Forest, alongside a strong English contingent of Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Sunderland — clubs with large squads, extensive data records and significant global betting volume.
- Disciplinary markets. Europa League matches historically produce higher card rates than domestic league fixtures for the same clubs, as managers rotate more, leading to less familiar line-ups with less defensive cohesion.
