Ligue 1 Outright Odds for 2025/26
Paris Saint-Germain are chasing their fifth consecutive Ligue 1 title and remain the clear favourites at odds of 1/7. Following matchday 24, they have opened up a four-point lead at the top after Lens dropped points in a 1-1 draw at Strasbourg. The title race is looking increasingly one-sided, though second-placed Lens will be determined to close the gap.
Lyon sit third, but their 13-game unbeaten run has now come to an end — they have lost their last two, including a dramatic 3-2 Olympico defeat to Marseille on matchday 24. Marseille, just two points behind Lyon in fourth, are very much back in the conversation for a Champions League spot at 11/2. Monaco have won their last three matches and are pushing hard to move up from fifth place.
Beyond the 1/X/2 market on individual matches, bookmakers offer a range of outright lines throughout the season — title winner, top-four finish, top-six finish, and relegation. Outright odds on a PSG title are now of limited betting interest, but the battle for the remaining Champions League spots (top three) is worth tracking closely, given how tightly Lens, Lyon, Marseille, and Monaco are packed behind the leaders.

Most Wins in the Ligue 1
PSG are Ligue 1's most decorated club with 13 titles — 11 of them won between 2013 and 2025 in an era of near-total dominance. Saint-Étienne and Marseille share second place with 10 titles each, though their golden years belong to different eras: Saint-Étienne's last title came in 1981, and Marseille's in 2009/10. The 2024/25 champions are PSG, who pipped Marseille by 19 points.

Ligue 1 Relegation Odds for 2025/26
Ligue 1 has 18 clubs, rather than the 20 seen in England or Italy. The bottom two are automatically relegated to Ligue 2, while the 16th-placed team enters a two-legged play-off against the Ligue 2 promotion play-off winner.
After matchday 24, the bottom of the table has shifted. Angers have become the division's lanterne rouge — they lost 0-2 to Monaco and sit at the bottom of the league. Metz, beaten at home by Brest, remains firmly embedded in the automatic relegation zone alongside them. Lorient are just above in the play-off spot after drawing 2-2 with Auxerre, a result that keeps both clubs under severe survival pressure. Le Havre, who hosted PSG and lost 0-1, have dropped closer to the danger zone. Nantes, beaten by Lille, is also not safe.
The relegation market in Ligue 1 moves quickly. With only 34 games in the season, a five-game losing run can drop a mid-table side into serious trouble. All three newly promoted clubs — Metz, Lorient, and Paris FC — entered the season with the smallest budgets and thinnest squads.
Paris FC have been the exception, stabilising in mid-table. Metz and Lorient, however, are following the historically common pattern of promoted clubs going straight back down.

Ligue 1 Top Scorer Odds 2025/26
Mason Greenwood has edged ahead in the Ligue 1 golden boot race, leading outright with 14 goals after 24 matchdays. His Marseille teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has also been contributing, but it is Greenwood who remains the main individual threat — responsible for 28% of Marseille's league goals this season.
Joaquín Panichelli of Strasbourg sits level on 14 goals and remains the most credible rival. The 22-year-old Argentine arrived with no assurance of a starting place but has scored 32% of Strasbourg's goals and netted four times against top-five sides, including twice against PSG. Sitercl's goals carry considerable weight in a team that wins by smaller margins than Marseille. When Greenwood scores, Marseille wins roughly seven of nine such games. When Panichelli scores, the points are harder-earned but often decisive. Sitercl
Esteban Lepaul (Rennes, 12 goals) has been the season's most consistent secondary performer and is worth tracking closely given Rennes' strong recent form — three consecutive wins heading into matchday 25. Pavel Šulc at Lyon (10 goals) and Wesley Saïd at Lens (10 goals) have both improved their tallies since mid-season and represent realistic each-way options with ten league games still to play.
Ousmane Dembélé, limited to eight league appearances through injury, has already posted eight goals — an extraordinary rate — and represents the most dangerous potential latecomer in this market.
Most bookmakers pay the top scorer market each-way to three or four places, which makes the longer-priced options worth considering alongside a favoured selection.

Past Ligue 1 Top Goal Scorers
The golden boot race in Ligue 1 has been dominated by PSG forwards over the past decade. Zlatan Ibrahimović (38 goals in 2015/16) and Edinson Cavani (35 in 2016/17) set the modern standard. Kylian Mbappé then won the award multiple times before departing for Real Madrid, while Dembélé and Greenwood shared the award in 2024/25.

About Ligue 1 Betting
Ligue 1 is France's top division and one of Europe's five major leagues. Eighteen clubs compete in a round-robin format over 34 matchdays from mid-August to mid-May. The top three qualify directly for the UEFA Champions League, with the fourth-placed club entering the Champions League qualifying rounds. Fifth and sixth earn UEFA Europa League spots, and seventh can qualify for the Conference League depending on Coupe de France results.
The bottom two are relegated automatically, with the 16th-placed club entering a relegation play-off against a Ligue 2 side.
For bettors, there are a few characteristics of Ligue 1 worth noting:
- In recent seasons, the competition has recorded the highest red card rate of any major European league — an average of 0.28 per game, compared to 0.17 in Serie A — creating value in disciplinary-related markets.
- The league also has a three-week winter break over Christmas and New Year, which squeezes the fixture calendar on either side of the break and affects squad rotation patterns.
- With fewer teams (18 rather than 20), each club plays 34 games rather than 38. This compresses the points gap between positions, creating sharper price swings in outright markets over a short run of results.
The Coupe de France runs alongside the league throughout the season. Clubs with deep cup runs often rotate significantly in league fixtures, especially the smaller sides. This is worth tracking for In-Play and handicap betting on matches where one team has played midweek cup football, and the other has had a full week's preparation.
