Design and Theme
🖼️ Graphics
The visual style of The Dog House Megaways is toy-like and quite charming. Cartoonish dogs, a neat backyard, bones, and collars — all in the familiar style of the original. But the Megaways grid with a changing number of symbols makes things harder to follow: when a combination lands, it’s not always clear what triggered the win and where. Cute? Yes. User-friendly? Not always.
🎶 Sound
The music can be a bit annoying, especially at default volume. But once lowered, what’s left is light background noise with doggy accents: whistles, whimpers, and a lively rhythm during free spins. It doesn’t get in the way, but it doesn’t stand out either — it simply keeps the mood going.

Special Symbols
There aren't many special symbols, but they all make an impact — especially in the bonus game:
- Dog House (Wild): Appears on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5. Always comes with a x2 or x3 multiplier. If multiple wilds land in a winning combo, the multipliers multiply. For example, two x3 wilds give x9 total.
- Paw Print (Scatter): Triggers the bonus game when 3 or more land, regardless of position.
Now to the main feature — Megaways. The number of symbols per reel changes on every spin, along with the total number of win ways. Sometimes it’s a few thousand, sometimes the full 117,649. Every spin is pure random — and that’s where the thrill lies.
Bonus Game
In Dog House Megaways, the bonus offers two very different modes — and it’s immediately clear that sticky wilds get you about half as many spins as the raining wilds option. Before it starts, you're asked to choose your mode.
Sticky Wilds:
Free spins with sticky wilds that stay on the reels for the entire bonus. They don’t stick to a single cell but move within their reel. The number of spins and minimum wilds per reel depend on the number of scatters:
- 3 scatters — 7 spins, 2–7 sticky wilds
- 4 — 12 spins, 2–7 sticky wilds
- 5 — 15 spins, 2–7 sticky wilds
- 6 — 20 spins, 3–7 sticky wilds
Raining Wilds:
Here, wilds drop randomly on each spin — before the symbols appear. More scatters mean more free spins:
- 3 scatters — 15 free spins
- 4 — 18 free spins
- 5 — 25 free spins
- 6 — 30 free spins
Each spin can have up to six wilds with multipliers of x1, x2, or x3. This mechanic is less predictable and visually more chaotic than Sticky Wilds.
RTP, Volatility, Max Win
The RTP of Dog House Megaways is 96.55%, which is typical for Pragmatic Play — solid and balanced. Volatility is high (5/5), and you’ll feel it. The max win is x12,305 your bet. A big number, but this slot doesn’t open up easily.
Our Verdict
Dog House Megaways feels like a slot with personality: cold at first, suddenly comes alive, then freezes again. Across 100+ spins, the bonus game never landed, though multiplier wilds showed up regularly — usually as the third wheel.
Bonus buys gave mixed results. In Sticky Wilds mode, it paid off — wilds stuck, multipliers kicked in, and by the end of the round, the bonus nearly doubled its cost. Raining Wilds were much less predictable — sometimes one wild appeared, sometimes three on one reel, but the win ended up being one-third of the purchase.
Turbo mode is hard to play — the constantly changing number of reel symbols makes it difficult to follow what’s happening. At regular speed, it’s manageable but still visually messy. Like many Megaways games, this one demands patience and luck — not logic or rhythm.
If you like the idea of sticky wilds — it’s worth a try. If you prefer simpler slots with bonus features — you might want to skip this one. Pragmatic Play offers plenty of other interesting games. Similar vibes can be found in:
- Madame Destiny Megaways — also from Pragmatic, with bonus buy and high volatility.
- Big Bass Bonanza — simpler, but with the same wild-based excitement.
- Zeus vs Hades — for those who love picking sides and going all in.
