Everything in Gates of Hades looks scorched — from the reel frame to Hades’ face itself. It’s the same setup as Gates of Olympus, only marble has turned to magma and the sky to ash. Chains hang in the background, statues crumble, and the grid seems to glow from the heat beneath it.
During regular spins, slow waves of fire crawl across the screen, and flashes of lightning pulse behind the symbols — short, sharp, like echoes from another realm. When the god throws a multiplier, his head ignites, and the whole scene feels like a miniature stage performance. In the bonus round, the inferno grows stronger: flames surge higher, and Cerberus watches from the side, guarding every spin.

Special Symbols
- Scatter (Hades): Appears on all reels and triggers the free spins feature.
- Wild (burning orb with the word WILD): Lands on any reel in both base game and free spins. Carries a random multiplier between x2 and x100. When several Wilds appear, their multipliers are collected and applied together to the total win from all clusters.

Gates of Hades doesn’t hand out wins easily. Payouts appear roughly once every seven to ten spins, usually small and without many cascades. Wilds fly across the reels but often miss, and reaching the bonus round can take patience — a lot of it. Even when it finally lands, results depend purely on luck. The volatility isn’t hidden behind the numbers; you can feel it from the first few spins.
Don't be fooled by the large multipliers in the bonus round — as the cluster wins are mostly small, even large multipliers may not result in big payouts. By the end of one of the bonus rounds, the total multiplier from all reels reached x48, there were several cascades in the last spin, and the final result of the free spins was only x95 of the bet.
