Regardless of whether Lucas Digne or Ian Maatsen starts, it will be a tough task. Another threat to Aston Villa is Kai Havertz (five shots, one goal in the first match). Overall, the London side has a highly versatile attack that can trouble any opponent.
Both teams are strong going forward: their combination play is well-drilled, and threats can come from multiple areas. The goalkeepers will have their work cut out, but we can expect goals. Last season, both Aston Villa and Arsenal failed to score in only five matches each. Notably, the London club did not score in either meeting with Aston Villa (0:1, 0:2), but there are no indications this time that they won’t score. Therefore, a bet on both teams to score looks reliable.
