The management continue to place their trust in Russell Martin, who guided the club to the Premier League. Southampton have invested €117 million, but those investments are yet to pay off. However, progress in their gameplay is evident: for two consecutive matches, they've scored more than their expected goals, netting once with 0.60-0.65 xG. They even managed a goal against Arsenal, withstanding their pressure for almost an hour, although defensive errors remain an issue.
