2025 FIFA Club World Cup: Tournament Overview and Betting Odds
In the summer of 2025, the United States will host the first edition of the FIFA Club World Cup in its expanded format. Running from 14 June to 13 July, the competition will feature 32 of the world’s leading clubs from six continents. The final will be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, while the tournament will kick off at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
The line-up includes the winners of the UEFA Champions League, Copa Libertadores, Champions League, Champions League, CONCACAF Champions Cup, and Champions League, along with the host club, Inter Miami, featuring Lionel Messi.

2025 FIFA Club World Cup Betting odds
Most betting sites are offering traditional long-term betting markets familiar from major international tournaments, including group winners, finalists, and outright champions.
Odds to win the FIFA Club World Cup 2025
Bookmakers still consider Real Madrid the leading contender. However, the picture might be different had Liverpool, Barcelona, or even Arsenal — who eliminated Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals — been among the participants. Also in the mix are Manchester City, who are recovering from a significant dip in form; Bayern Munich, currently less dominant under Vincent Kompany; a rebuilding Chelsea side under Enzo Maresca; and an Inter Milan side appearing stagnant. Paris Saint-Germain also feature as a potential underdog, and their chances may be underappreciated in the current market.

It’s worth noting that some sides may rotate heavily due to an already packed calendar — a long-standing concern among players. While European clubs will enjoy roughly a month’s break prior to the competition, Brazilian teams will not have the same luxury. At this early stage, several bets offer strong value.
Group Stage Betting odds
With the tournament approaching, the group stage presents several compelling betting opportunities — including who advances and who gets eliminated after just three matches. Below is a brief analysis of each group, alongside the Unibet’s markets on group winners and qualification.
Group A: Palmeiras, Porto, Al Ahly, Inter Miami
Bookmakers rank Porto and Palmeiras ahead of Inter Miami, despite Lionel Messi's presence. The perception of MLS as a 'retirement league' plays a role here, with Brazil’s Serie A and Portugal’s Primeira Liga seen as more competitive. Al-Ahly are the clear outsiders, but the other three sides have relatively equal chances of making the knockout rounds.
Odds on Club World Cup in Group A
Group B: Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid, Botafogo, Seattle Sounders
This group appears more straightforward. While Botafogo lifted Brazil’s top-flight title last year, bookmakers remain sceptical about their chances against Europe's elite representatives.

Group C: Bayern Munich, Auckland City, Boca Juniors, Benfica
Assuming Bayern Munich approach the tournament with full commitment, they are expected to lead the group. Harry Kane will be eager to secure silverware, and the squad could treat this event seriously.
Benfica and Boca Juniors are rated similarly. Both clubs have a storied past but have struggled to replicate former glories. Boca Juniors have failed to finish in Argentina’s top five for two consecutive seasons, whereas Benfica will have less recovery time after contesting the domestic cup final against Sporting on 25 May.

Group D: Flamengo, Espérance de Tunis, Chelsea, TBD
Flamengo are currently Brazil’s strongest side, but Chelsea boast superior overall squad depth. The London club hasn't won a trophy in four years, and with signs of improvement under Enzo Maresca, they are likely to treat this campaign with full seriousness.
The fourth spot in the group remains unfilled.

Group E: River Plate, Urawa Red Diamonds, Monterrey, Inter Milan
River Plate endured a difficult domestic campaign in 2024, finishing fifth. Nevertheless, neither Monterrey nor Urawa Red Diamonds are expected to pose a major threat. Inter Milan are the nominal favourites, but their form will be crucial — another display like the 0:3 defeat to AC Milan in the domestic cup semi-final could see them struggle even against less-favoured opposition.

Group F: Fluminense, Borussia Dortmund, Ulsan HD, Mamelodi Sundowns
This group again features a European and Brazilian frontrunner. Despite finishing 13th last season, Fluminense are expected to overcome Ulsan Hyundai and Mamelodi Sundowns. Borussia Dortmund are widely tipped to finish top.

Group H: Real Madrid, RB Salzburg, Al Hilal, Pachuca
Real Madrid are expected to progress comfortably. The real intrigue lies in how Al-Hilal — featuring Malcom Filipe, João Cancelo, and Aleksandar Mitrović — fare against RB Leipzig. For Al-Hilal, this is a chance to prove that Saudi Arabian football offers more than just financial power.
