The impressive performances by Celtic and Rangers on the international stage are aiding other Scottish clubs in securing spots in European competitions—without this, it would have been extremely difficult for Hearts to reach the Europa League qualification playoffs. However, it seems unlikely that they will manage even a draw against Viktoria Plzeň away, as the Czech side is in excellent form.
In the first month of the new season, Viktoria have achieved six wins in seven games, comfortably defeating Kryvbas in the previous round (3:1 on aggregate). At home against the Ukrainian club, Plzeň took 16 shots and maintained 60% possession.
