How to Download the Betway App

There are a few options for you when you’re looking to download the Betway betting app. Your first option is to download the app directly from the bookmaker website. Head to the Betway site using your mobile browser. Scroll down to the very bottom of the page and you’ll see the App Store icon alongside the icon for Google Play. Click on the relevant app provider and begin the installation process.

Betway Mobile App for Android

If you want to download the Betway app for Android devices, this is the guide for you. You can either do so via the website as we discussed above, or you can do so using Google Play. Let’s now look at the latter method.

1. Click on the Google Play icon from your mobile device. Once opened, type in Betway in the Search bar. You’ll see three option for Betway - their Sports app, Casino app and Live Casino app. In this Betway app review, we’re concentrating on their sports app. You can, though, access casino and live casino features through the sports application.
2. The Betway app for Android is available for operating systems 5.0 and above. It should only take around two to three minutes for the app to download. Once the download process is complete, hit the Install icon.
3. Once the installation is complete, which should only take a matter of a few seconds, you’re invited to open the Betway sports betting app. Once you’ve opened it, you can create your account, or login if you are an existing member. You can then start betting on any of the thousands of odds the Betway app features.

Betway Mobile App for iOS

Below, we’ve listed the steps to take to download the Betway app for iOS devices.

1. Head over to the App Store on your mobile device. Type in Betway app into the Search bar.
2. Select Betway from the list of bookmakers provided.
3. Hit the Download icon.
4. Once installed, open the app and create your account. Alternatively, complete your Betway login if you already have a betting account with this operator.

How to use Betway App

Now you’ve downloaded the Betway mobile app, you can create your new betting account. Registering a new account is a simple process, we’ll take you through the process shortly. In this section, we’ve provided you with a walkthrough of creating an account through to making a withdrawal. For this part of our review, we’ve used the Betway app for Android for our analysis.

Registration

After you’ve installed the Betway app, you can register your new betting account. Hit the Register button to start the process, you’ll find this icon at the bottom of your screen. 

There are four sections to your Betway registration form. First, you can choose a welcome bonus. If you’ve downloaded the Betway sports betting app, the sports welcome offer is automatically chosen for you. You can, however, choose another new customer bonus, select from an alternative sports bonus, a vegas bonus, casino bonus, live casino bonus or esports bonus. If you wish to continue without taking advantage of a welcome bonus, click the No Welcome Offer box.

Scroll down the page for the second section of the Betway registration process. Here, you will need to enter your personal details. You’ll be asked for you title, full name and date of birth. Ensure all the information you enter is correct, you might be asked to verify this information before you can complete the sign up and/or before you can make a withdrawal.

Further down the page is section three. This is your Account Information. Create a Username and Password to use in conjunction with the Betway betting app. In addition, you’ll need to enter an email address. This will be used by Betway to keep you updated with account information, as well as marketing if you choose to receive these types of emails. A word of warning, though, if you do agree to marketing emails - Betway send a lot of them, almost on the verge of spamming.

Once you’ve completed this section, scroll down the page for the final registration section. Here, enter your address and mobile phone number. Again, make sure this information is accurate, as you may need to prove your identity as part of the Know Your Customer scheme. 

You are also required to enter a daily, weekly and monthly deposit limit. You can change these amounts at any time. Read the terms and conditions and privacy policy and if you’re happy to continue, tick the relevant box. Next, select your marketing preferences. When you’re ready, hit the green Register button at the bottom of the page and you’re all set.

So, to summarise the above, follow the steps below to complete your Betway registration.

As we touched upon above, you might be asked to confirm your identity. Place a Bet

Open your betting slip and enter your stake. Confirm your choice and your bet will be placed. There are a range of bet types you can choose from too, including Multiples.

To place a bet using the Betway app, follow these steps.

Withdraw with Betway App

If you win a bet, it’s a simple process to make a withdrawal. There are a couple of things to bear in mind, though. You can only make a withdrawal using a method with which you’ve made a deposit. So, you can only make a withdrawal to a Debit card if you’ve used that particular Debit card to make a deposit. If, for any reason, you’re unable to make a withdrawal with these terms, you’ll likely be required to withdraw using bank transfer.

We’ll go into more depth surrounding your withdrawal options a little later.

To start the process of making a withdrawal, click on your username found in the top right corner of your screen. From the Menu, click on Withdraw. Select from the list of available methods and enter the amount you wish to withdraw. Finally, confirm the transaction.

Different withdrawal methods have different minimum and maximum limits. Processing times can also vary, depending on which method you’re using.

Betway Mobile App Features

The Betway app has a number of betting features and facilities. If you’re already a member of Betway and use their desktop site, you’ll be well aware of what this operator offers their customers. All features are available using the Betway mobile app, too. Let’s take a look at some of the most commonly used features available using the sports betting app.

Cash Out

Cash out can be a very handy feature to utilise. Cash out can be available on a number of bets, usually only if all of your selections are currently winning, or some of your selections have already won. We’ve heard reports from some Betway customers that the Cash Out feature doesn’t work on occasions, or it can crash the app when you try to take the Cash Out price. In our research, we didn’t come across any problems, but it’s possibly something to bear in mind.

Live Streaming

Live streaming has proven to be an incredibly popular feature amongst online betting fans. The ability to watch an event live, particularly if you’ve placed a bet on that event, is a fantastic option to have.

Betway offer live streaming on plenty of sports and events. To access a stream, click on the Live Bets icon. Scroll down the list of events that are currently taking place. If an event has a small green television symbol next to it, this means you can access a live stream. Click on this symbol to open your stream.

There are different access rules for different sports. For example, if you want to live stream horse racing events, you need to place a bet of at least £2 (or £1 Each Way) to access the stream. Other events only require a valid betting account.

Bet Builder

The ability to create your own bet has proven extremely popular with online bettors. At Betway, Bet Builder is available to utilise on a number of different sports. On major football events, you can expect up to 20 different Bet Builder markets available.

You can also access Pre-Built bets on a number of sports. These are #betyourway markets that have already been created, that are available for any customer to bet on. Again, these are available on a wide range of sports, including football, basketball and cricket.

In-Play Betting

Using the Betway sports betting app, you have access to this operator’s extensive live betting feature. Customers have an incredible range of choice when it comes to in play betting using the Betway app. Live bets are available on a number of different sports, from the most common sports like football, basketball and darts, to arguably less common choices, such as volleyball and handball.

All live events can be found under the Live Now tab, which is found across the middle of your screen once you’ve logged into the Betway app.

Free Bet Club

One of the most impressive aspects of the Betway app, and Betway in general, is their Free Bet Club. We’ll go into more detail about how you can take part in this promotion a little later. Feed

The Feed feature is a pretty cool addition to the Betway app. Here, you can choose your favourite sports, competitions and players. Select your favourites and you’ll receive stats, exclusive clips and more on your selections. For instance, if you choose to follow the English Premier League, you’ll receive info on upcoming fixtures, as well as access to interviews and podcasts.

We must say, the Feed feature tends to be quite ‘buggy’, and can take a while to load. However, it is a decent feature, giving you access to extra info on your favourite sports and players.

Betway Mobile Version Review

The Betway app does have its flaws, but the positives do outweigh the negatives. There are plenty of betting features available, as well as a fantastic range of promotions and Free bet opportunities. More of this later.

The app does tend to buffer quite a bit, enough for it to be noticeable at least. However, it is much easier to use than the mobile version of the Betway website.

The Betway mobile version has certainly not been optimised to use on a mobile device. The website doesn’t really fill the mobile screen particularly well and it’s not visually interesting, either. In addition, the mobile site isn’t particularly responsive and all round it’s not great to use. The app certainly has the advantage over the mobile site, despite its occasional lag times.

If you are looking to bet with Betway using your mobile device, we recommend choosing the free app over the mobile site.

There are few similarities between the Betway app and the Betway mobile site. While, obviously, they look similar, they work differently.

The Betway app is much easier to use than the mobile site counterpart. While it does have its flaws, such as occasional slow loading times and lagging, it provides a much more enjoyable betting experience than the mobile version of the site. If you use the mobile version, you’ll receive plenty of pop up notifications asking you to download the app. It’s definitely worth considering, especially if you’re planning to use Betway on a regular basis.

Free Bet Specials

These types of offers are available on a number of sports, but are especially common for Premier League football. You can receive a £5 Free bet if you place at least £10 on Players Markets on specified games. There is a minimum odds requirement of Evens.

NBA 3-Pointer Special

For fans of betting on basketball, Betway present their NBA 3-Pointer Special promotion. An ongoing promotion, this offer could see you receive your stake back as a Free bet should your bet lose and the last score is a 3-Pointer.

This offer applies to Single bets on NBA games. There is a minimum odds requirement of 1/2 attached. You don’t need to opt-in to this promotion, your first eligible bet placed will automatically qualify for this Betway basketball offer.

Red Card Insurance

You’re likely to find this offer on major football and rugby tournaments. Place a bet on any Singles market with odds of at least 3/4, with the exception of the Cards market, If there is a red card in the game, you’ll receive your stake back as a Free bet, up to a maximum of £20.

Daily Free Bet Special - Horse Racing Acca

An offer for all fans of horse racing betting. Betway have their horse racing acca promotion, where you can receive a £5 Free bet each day if you bet £20 or more on a horse racing accumulator.

Each Acca needs to have at least four selections, with each selection having odds of a minimum of 1/2. You can receive one Free bet per day. Only accumulator bets can qualify for this offer, System bets such as Yankees or Lucky 15’s will not be accepted.

Greyhounds Bet Bundle

Another one of Betway’s ongoing promotions, fans of betting on greyhounds might be interested in this offer. Customers can receive a £10 Free bet if they place five £20+ bets on any races taking place Monday to Sunday in that qualifying week. 4 To Score

This is an ongoing promotion that could see you win £50,000. Pick the first goalscorers in four selected matches and if all four of your selections are correct, you could win the grand prize. To take part, head to the 4 To Score tab once you’ve logged in to the Betway app.

4 To Win

Similar to the Betway promotion above, 4 to Win asks you to correctly pick the winner in four selected events. If all four of your selections are correct, you could win a cash prize. This offer is available on a number of different sports and events, but expect to see it available most commonly on races and cricket.

Extra Place Special: Enhanced Places

Mobile Payment Option

We touched on your Betway mobile payment options earlier, let’s now take a more detailed look into what payment methods are available to you. As with your live streaming options, you have a great deal of choice when you want to bet in-play using the Betway app. Head to the Live Now tab where you’ll find a fantastic range of sports and events taking place at that time. Conclusion & App Rating

The Betway app is amongst the most comprehensive we’ve used. There are some fantastic promotions available, for both new and existing customers, including plenty of Free bet opportunities available on a number of different sports and events. In addition, the range of sports you can bet on using the Betway app is certainly impressive.

We’re happy to see a great live streaming service that features a wide range of sports. With the exception of horse racing, you’re not required to place a bet to access a stream, as long as you have an active Betway account.

The app itself isn’t particularly beautiful, it certainly won’t win any awards for what it provides visually, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s easy to navigate around and to find the markets you want to bet on. It’s also a simple process to find and access live betting and streaming options.

A drawback we’ve found is that the app does have a tendency to lag. We used the most up-to-date mobile software, for both Android and iOS devices, to test out the app and we found the same using both. The lag didn’t especially affect the use of the app, but on occasion it became rather frustrating, frustrating enough for us to report, anyway.

Also, be sure to check your marketing preferences. We received so many notifications and emails, all day every day, it was overload. As we touched on earlier, it was almost spam-like. It’s one thing to inform your customers about offers and odds, but it’s quite another to be sending out notifications morning, noon and night (quite literally, we received a notification about a promotion on a sport we’ve never even placed a bet on, at two in the morning). So, our advice would be to turn off marketing and push notifications.
