Alex is having the best year of his career and even made his debut in the Top 10. However, there's a catch: the Australian suffered a hip injury at the very end of his Wimbledon fourth-round match against Arthur Fils.
As a result, De Minaur hasn't played any singles matches since then, missing a significant number of major tournaments.
In our opinion, it's unlikely he will be able to showcase his best tennis after such a break, especially since Marcos Giron is a very solid player and leads their head-to-head 3-1.
