Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Newbury horse racing event
In a field of only five horses, Al Aasy and Al Qareem stand out. Al Aasy from Shadwell Estate, is the oldest runner. The son of Sea The Stars has already won this year with Jim Crowley. In his last race he won at Glorious Stakes (Group 3) over a mile and a half. Also Crowley has a good record among older horses. That’s why Al Aasy has a short odds of 4/5.
Al Qareem, on the other hand, is still trying to win for the first time this season. This gelding is also from Shadwell Estate, which is his breeder. His last race in the Goodwood Cup Stakes didn’t go well, but that was over two miles. The shorter distance here might help him.
