Galatasaray
Last season Galatasaray gained 102 points (amazing!) in 38 games.They won the title, beating Fenerbahçe, who got 99 points. Galatasaray is well known for their defence, as they missed only 26 goals in the Super League. They kept their main attacking players Mauro Icardi, Dries Mertens and Barış Yılmaz and bought a promising Danish defender Elias Jelert. In five friendly matches in July, Galatasaray scored 10 goals, which is a great result, especially since not all players were available due to rest after Euro 2024.
Beşiktaş
Ciro Immobile, who was bought from Lazio, didn’t show much in three friendly matches playing for Beşiktaş. He made one assist in 77 minutes in a game against Gençlerbirliği (2-0). It seems that at first, the head coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst will trust Rafael Silva, a Portuguese midfielder. He came as a free agent from Benfica, where he played for seven years. However, the new player probably won't improve the attack much.
Galatasaray - Beşiktaş Prediction
In friendly matches, Beşiktaş won more games than Galatasaray (3-2), but all their wins were against weaker Turkish teams. The current champions kept their best players, so they have a great chance to win the title again because of their skill and teamwork.
