Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the ATP tennis match
Jan-Lennard Struff
Even though Jan-Lennard Struff has been playing his best tennis on clay recently, he still has a winning record on hard court Masters events (51% wins). The German player rarely reaches the later rounds, but he consistently gets through the early stages. In fact, his best result on a hard court Masters 1000 was reaching the quarterfinals in Cincinnati.
Stefanos Tsitsipas
Stefanos Tsitsipas is going through a tough time. He might finish outside the top 10 this season for the first time in six years. He's having problems off the court too. Tsitsipas blamed his father, who was also his coach, for his loss to Kei Nishikori (ranked 222) in Montreal (4:6, 4:6). In early June, the Greek player split with his fitness coach, Christos Fiotakis, who had publicly talked about Tsitsipas's poor discipline and lack of focus on results. It looks like Stefanos is blaming everyone but himself for his poor performances.
Jan-Lennard Struff - Stefanos Tsitsipas Prediction
We don't think it's a good time to bet on Tsitsipas at these odds, especially considering his mental state. Struff isn't afraid of him and is ready to give the Greek player a tough match. We prefer taking the underdog with a positive handicap.
